At Asutosh Mukherjee Memorial Institute, Kolkata
with acclaimed graphic novelist and illustrator Harsho Mohan Chattoraj
Workshop Outline:
Session 1 : 11am to 12 pm
– understanding comics, graphic novels, webcomics
– India and comics therein
– Ideating a story and scripting
Session 2 : 12 pm to 1pm
– Character design and creating layouts
Lunch break (working lunch provided at venue) : 1 pm to 2 pm
Session 3 : 2pm to 3pm
– Penciling in the art
Session 4 : 3 pm – 4pm
– Inking and lettering
Wrap up : 4 pm
Workshop Lead :
Harsho Mohan Chattoraj is a graphic novelist and illustrator based in Kolkata, India. He has worked in the comics medium since the turn of the century, and has done artwork for publishers and commercial clients in India, UK, USA, Australia and Switzerland. Some of his recent works are ‘Operation Decay’, ‘Where did my Profits Go?’, ‘Destiny Awakes’. ‘Chotushkon’ and ‘Birth of Bangladesh’.
Eligibility:
Anyone who wishes to create comics, graphic novels, cartoons etc.
