The Yearbook of Indian Poetry in Translation 2026 Submission Call
Submission Guidelines
1) The year of publication of the original poem in any journal, magazine or book should be between 1st Jan 2025 to 31st December 2025.
2) Send 3 translated poems from any vernacular language in a Word document with full name, city, address, and phone number, with a short bio of not more than 100 words. The subject line should be Yearbook of Indian Poetry in Translation 26.
3) The translated poems can be of an individual poet’s work or several poets’ work combined. The poem should be within 30 lines in length. Submit edited poems with all details to [email protected]
4) Submitted translations of the poems should be unpublished until The Yearbook of Poetry in Translation 26 is released.
5) Translators need to submit proof of translation rights and proof of publication with each poem. Please specify the Title, date and name of the publication with your submission. (Link to publication or soft copy of the published poems and written permission for translation)
6) Selected Translators will receive a copy of the book.
7) The decision on the inclusion of the selected poems remains with the editors. Only selected poets will be informed about acceptance. On acceptance of the translated poems, you give an exclusive right to the publisher to publish the poems in any format needed for promotion, print or online.
8) Only poems published within the time frame will be accepted. The last date of submission is 31st Jan 2026.
9) The Antonym Poetry Translation Award 2026 to be given to the best translated poems from the Yearbook of Indian Poetry in Translation 2026
